Hello all! My son is getting married in October and will be traveling to Nashville for their honeymoon. Can anyone give me great ideas for them to see, do, eat out at etc? Also, is there areas that they should stay away from? Thank you!!
God Bless and Happy Traveling!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Visit The Hermitage, Prrsident Andrew Jackson's home. Are you taking the RV? If so and you are staying at one of the campgrounds on Music Valley Drive, you can take the Downtown Shuttle so you do not have to drive and you can enjoy yourself with a libation at the bars and honky tonks. We like to eat at Demo's downtown. It is reasonably priced and their brown butter pasta is so good. We stay in Nashville on our way south every year. As full timers, we treat it as a mini vacation.

Here are a couple of things no one ever mentions.....
Check out the Parthenon. That's right! A full size replica of the Greek Parthenon as it would have been. It's near the downtown area in Centennial Park. It was built in 1897 and has a 42' gold statue of Athena inside.

Also stop at the Antique Archeology store if you are a American Pickers TV viewer (history channel). Kinda fun to view.

My wife and i honeymooned there 3 years ago and went back the next year too! Downtown is a blast, honky tonk every 20'. Grand ole opry is a must see, back stage tour was very informative. we found the area to be filled with friendly and helpful people. Kix brooks has a winery about half hour out of town, hall of fame, studio b tour, never know who can be playing in town so be sure to check out published shows, oh unique hot dog stand called i dream of weenie!

My husband and I are going in early June. I research everything (To death according to my husband) one of the sites I found is "Trip advisor. Also, if you go to "NASHVILLE VISITORS GUIDE" you can see either on PDF or choose book form, it's free.
