Northern PA suggestions

Looking for a short week trip in July to Pa., I've always wanted to check out the fishing. Looking for something similar to a state park with bigger more spaced out sites, hookups are optional. Need to have decent pond, river, or small lake warm water fishing nearby that I can do with a canoe as opposed to large lakes. I'm thinking west, of Scranton and north of I80, the more remote the better. I'll be traveling from New England.

The COE campgrounds near Tompkins, PA and Ives Run, PA both near the NY border near Corning, NY, are reported to be very nice. Both are on or near lakes. We haven't been to either one though, so I can't speak from personal experience.

We were camping recently at Raccoon Creek State Park in PA, and some fellow campers recommended SINNEMAHOING STATE PARK. They camp a lot in PA state parks and they said that this one is their favorite. We haven't been there yet, but it's on our "bucket list" for sure.
