Olympic National Park - 50' - where to camp?

We're looking at spending a week or two on the Olympic peninsula, exploring Olympic National Park and the coast. Having trouble finding a campground that will accommodate our truck/trailer. 30 foot trailer has us just over 50' total.

Kalaloch and Bogachiel seems like the sites are too small (all are in the 20's and 30's)? We're looking at Salt Creek but it seems everything we want to see/do is a 2 hour drive from there.

We'd rather not stay on an indian reservation, had a bad experience...

Any advice?

Well rated park.

Do be aware that the removal of the dam was completed in August 2014 and they were studying how the river will eventually develop. Currently Port Angeles is unable to use water from the river for drinking water due to increased sedimentation.

Salt Creek - a county park along the sea shore - has received some good recent comments - and has pull-thrus over 75 feet long.Salt Creek

There are some spots up at Heart-O-The-Hills that would accommodate this length combination. I suggest driving up without the trailer first to check (try Sunday noon - about Wednesday morning). Maybe stay at Elwha Dam RV park (overflow and tenting areas are less expensive if you don't need amenities) while waiting for one of the larger spots up at Heart-O-The-Hills to open up.

Have fun,
