Perfect End of Year Camping

We just returned from our last trip of the year, and we were blessed with great October weather for Montana. We camped at Big Arm State Park on Flathead Lake in Northwest Montana. We even used our kayaks and Jet Skis. We can't complain after being so fortunate with camping opportunities this year with our first TT.

Our lakefront property - Space B15.

My son kayaking.

We live 30 minutes from the West Glacier entrance. One of the reasons we bought our TT is the plentiful campgrounds within an hour or two of us. This weekend at Big Arm State Park, we were one of only two campers in the whole campground!

Up the MIddle Fork road above Crouch is a snowmobile parking area with lots of room.

Here are some pics -

Also, we found out that most of the campgrounds around Lake Cascade are now first come, first served. Check the Lake Cascade State Park web site and it will list which CG's are open. If you want hookups, I would also recommend Torrey's Burnt Creek Inn between Stanley and Clayton - a full hookup RV park right on the Salmon River. Here are some pics of that too -

Great pictures thanks for sharing. We just returned this afternoon from our last trip of the 2014 season. Sad, but cannot wait until next year.

Nice! It has been very nice weather here too but most years it's nice enough to take a late season camping trip the end of October. Your lakefront site is great though!
