If you stay at Timberlane, you should be able to get into Philly via the PATCO train, or via taxi. Once you're in the city, the South-Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA - www.septa.org) can get you anywhere you want to go. You can purchase a pass that allows you to ride the entire system for a day, or a weekend, or a week... Buses, subways, regional rail trains, elevated trains, trolleys, etc. Philly folks are friendly enough and will help you get where you're going. They'll even provide suggestions for things to see and places to eat.
