We are leaving Coeur d'alene Idaho in a few days and hope to get as far as Richland Wa near the Colombia River.. Any suggestions on an rv park? We have a motor home and are pulling a small toad..
We traveled the Oregon side of the Colombia a few years ago and want to travel on the Washington side this trip..

Thanks

LOL. Yeah, apparently we had not done our homework and we were unaware of the tunnel so it came as a surprise. Our rig was brand new (3days old) and I didn't even know for dead certain what our height really was so we skirted around it. No big deal and the Bridge of the Gods crossing was a fun experience.

We enjoy the Washington side of the Columbia better than the Oregon side. Slower, more peaceful road but more to see, in my opinion. Stop at the Maryhill Winery. We cross at The Dalles to the south side because of a tunnel but then cross over to Washington side again at Bridge of the Gods.

We came to a screaching halt and called DOT. RVs will fit. Use center of road. Next time I will stay on the south side of the Columbia.

We have stayed at Horn Rapids also and like it. A couple of weeks ago we stayed at Columbia Sun and, as reported earlier on this thread, it is beautiful and brand new. A little pricey for us, but nice.

My house! Free, too. PM me if you wish! RV parks in TriCities are nothing to rave about.

As mentioned, Horn Rapids RV park is pretty nice but can be full this time of year with seasonal workers. Next to Ethos is a friend of mine's place, Shrub Step Smokehouse Brewery. Best brisket around, and beer is good too.

If you want to go a little farther out of town and stay on the Columbia, Crow Butte park is pretty nice and on the WA side.

Hood Park in Burbank (just East of 395 on the Snake River) is a COE park and nice too. My parents stay there a lot.

Horn Rapids RV Resort is very nice, we live nearby, it is quiet, clean and easy to get in and out. I recommend it.

Just a mile toward Richland there is a brewery, winery, Ethos Bakery - pizzas are really good but only on Friday and Saturday nights, and a BBQ restaurant/brewery. All 4 are good choices.

Best brewery is down in Kenniwick. Looks like an old warehouse. Name was Ice Harbor. Quite a drive from Richland but well worth the drive if you like good beer. Burgers were awesome.

We stayed at Horn Rapids RV resort in Richland WA. Nice. 50 amps Pets ok. They have a large vacant area adjacent to the RV park where we could just let our dog run.
