Securing a FL St park reservation

Looking to get a future reservation in the keys during the busy winter time and everything is booked up. My dates are flexible and don't mind planning a year out.

Anyone know how the reservation system works? Do they add new dates once a week, daily, at midnight. Need to understand the game to play the game.

Getting a campsite at our state parks this time of year is about as rare as hen's teeth. Hope luck is on your side!

I've found that it appears to be easier to book a site with an arrival early in the week. Tuesday's seem to be easier to get.

I will look at the Avalibility tab at the end of the booking window. Because it will show which sites become available on which days.

Right now looking at Bahia Hondo - 1 site becomes available tomorrow for Feb 10, 7 sites become available for Feb 11, etc. one site will not become available until the 24th.

Myakka really is great, isn't it? and the big airboat rides are a lot of fun. I still marvel at how many gators are out there just nine miles from I-75 and Sarasota.

Sites open 11 months out at 8 a.m. East Coast time. So you could theoretically book now for arrival in February 2018. Every day, sites which come open for arrival are online for booking. Might be zero sites, three sites, one site, ten sites. They book instantly especially for winter dates. Use the filters and be sure you know the sites' length and that you are not booking a tent site.
