Thank-you fellow campers!

We've been fortunate to do a lot of camping this year already all across Indiana in both private and state campgrounds.

I've noticed a REAL change in camping behavior that delights me, and just wanted say a big "Thank-you!!".... for turning your outside lights off at night!

Every campground we've visited so far this year has been delightfully DARK at night. When folks go to bed, they are turning out the lights!

There were a couple exceptions, of course, but fortunate for us, they were just patio lights left on, and far enough away from our site it was still pretty much dark.

Just 2 years ago, I remember everyone blasting the campgrounds with LIGHT all night! I suppose it must be like men's neck-ties, the style changes. Hang on to that old tie and it will be back in style again in about 5 years! But I hope this trend lasts!

So, especially if you camped anywhere in Indiana where I might have stayed, THANKS AGAIN!

We've been somewhere almost every week-end, except a couple now due to work schedules, so we've been to quite a few places this year now!

Love that dark! Makes camping feel like real camping ... when I was a kid!

I never leave lights on at night. If I was scared of the dark I would find a different pastime.

We turn our outside lights off at bed time. Only light that comes on is a outside motion detector light that comes on if someone walks through the campsite.

I would say your welcome but we haven't had the opportunity to camp in beautiful Indiana as of yet. I hear you on those that must be lit up like Vegas all night, luckily we haven't had to deal with anything to overbearing over the last decade. I have no problem with seeing a rig lit up, thankfully most tone down the light show when retiring for the evening which is much appreciated especially when camping in close quarters.
