What has been your experience with Thousand Trails. How many of the sites are full hookup? Any luck if you can only reserve 60 days out? We are looking at resale memberships to reduce our FT costs. Thanks!

our experience with that organization's parks began on a bad park and went down from there. Luckily, we made the cancellation time limit right under the wire. We will NEVER stay at a park that has the TT attachment again.

Some parks are mostly or ALL FHP. Others are mostly or ALL EW. The more remote/wilderness the park is the more likely less/no FHP. Always have pretty easy to use dump. We have two "home" parks. Wilderness Lakes is most or all FHP. Idyllwild is the opposite. Just plan accordingly. We have gone to others and chosen the EW sites when FHP was available because of other positive factors for that site. When we take grandkids and don't have sewer, the "menfolk" must use parks facilities during the day. Everyone uses park showers. The two week limit on a stay has always been what determined when to dump. Never needed a honey wagon.

Most TT campgrounds lease sites out on a yearly basis. These sites are usually the full hookup sites. The TT Bend/Sunriver park is a good example, every full hookup site is leased out. We have been members for about 5 years now and I think that abut 90% of our stays have been at water/electric only sites.

Good luck getting full hookups. They are the 1st to go and people stay in the sites for a long time. A lot of the thousand trails offer a honey bucket service to dump in.
