Starting to plan for next years big trip. Any advice on your favourite great campgrounds or natural places to go in Vermont and New Hampshire? We like to have electricity but not RV parks. We are Into hiking, photography and exploring natural wonders. Spending a few days in 3-4 places totalling maybe 10 days out.

Vermont State Parks are great, but none have hookups.

I agree with North Beach Campground in Burlington Vermont, it's right on the lake. Your whole family will enjoy the bike paths along the lake. Plenty to do in the area.

In New Hampshire, I would look at the Mount Washington Valley for hiking, kayaking, and the like. Gunstock Mountain Ski Area in Gilford New Hampshire has Zip Lines, Aerial Treetop Adventures, and Segway tours right at the Mountain, plus you can camp there as well.

Quechee Gorge is a natural wounder in Vermont. While there visit Weston and Okemo. Not sure of state park camping in the area. We stayed at Quechee KOA and loved it there. Used it as our base to explore the area. Lake Bomoseen near Fair Haven, VT on the NY side has state park and Half Moon also has camping.
See you on the road!

North Beach. Burlington,VT

One of our favorites. Right on Lake Champlain. Great multi-use trail that runs for miles.
