yosemite camp 4 early april?

what do you think of my chances of getting in yosemite camp 4 in early april? i guess it depends what time of day you show up but if morning do you think there's a good chance there would be space?

also, i can't remember, can you park your vehicle (minivan), on your camp site or is it only tent and park somewhere else?

i've camped in camp 4 many times before in my climbing youth but its been a while and i can't remember the details now

Camp four has traditionally been the climbers camp in the Valley. The stomping ground of Royal Robbins and Yves Chonaird. Tents only. And it used to be rather rowdy at night too, I don't know if that's still true tho. The rangers tried to close it down on several occasions.

There's a good chance there may still be snow on the ground in April too.

camp 4 is no reservation, that's why i asked. i think i know the answer, it depends how early you get in line. if i line up at 3am, i'll probably get in but that time of year i think 7am would suffice

but i'd like to know if i can park on the site at camp 4 since i plan to sleep in the van, not in a tent

Only way to find out is to call the park.....You may have to make a reservation as many National Parks fill up fast and caampsites are not available on just pulling in and seeing what's available.
