2005 kz sportsman (old RBW SLIDE GEARBOX)

I think my gears are stripped on my old RB W. slide on my 2005KZ Sportsman the slide would grind when trying to bring it in my friend tried to fix it. He oblong drilled the holes to bring the small gear tighter which didn’t seem to work waste of time effort, and my money,  so I’d like to start with a used gearbox if anybody has one for sale .anybody have anywhere or anybody have any laying around I could buy I’m looking for a new gearbox with the slide motor. Attaching a few photos of what I have seems to be a 12th tooth gear,

No suggestions on the repair. But I always take pause when somebody blends the word friend with spending money for something that is labor only.  But maybe it's just me.
