I started out with a glass of something or other, in my hand....admiring he new look on our in-home kitchen cabinets. That led to a discussion of putting down a new floor in the RV..which led to 'someone' saying..maybe I should do the cabinets in the RV, too!

A bit of a monster...20 doors, drawers, cupboards. All with pulls..have to replace those, of course...I am using a Rustoleum product...

https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/transformations/cabinet-transformations-li...

It is a 5 step process...certainly quicker than sanding each bit. Fourth step is The Boss doing a rub on, rub off stain for the de-stress look. Sixth and last then is a glaze. The kicker is that there is a huge amount of wood trim..wood everywhere...that has to be de-glazed..then painted. Which is where we are now..painting the inside of the RV with first of two coats. I have done 1/2 of the first coat on all the removable wood.

The kitchen 'look'...

And the floor....IF I can find the colour I want..a no click planking, with a full on glue down application. First do a prep on the existing lino..then the glue and planking.

And a trip to the floor place has changed my mind about what I am using. Going to go to a click Torley. Much more likely to withstand sever temp fluctuations.

Last post from the OP.

Ran into a bit of a road block with my flooring plan. The 'right' way to lay it is lengthwise...and what a huge job that would be. Talk about death by a million cuts. The easy way is to lay it width wise..across the floor. Fast and slick..and every time I looked at I would be saying....'shoulda done it the right way'. Plus..while driving and looking in the rear view..I would see it done the 'easy' way and be some cranky.

So..the planking has gone into storage till next year, when I will take the time to learn how to do this right.

The interior of the C looks fabulous and I am packed and ready to be off..as of tomorrow morning (Sept 18th), for a month. Down to Seattle via Wa 20 and then to Vancouver Island's west side..Tofino.

The guy that was to do the install fell seriously ill...so he was out of the picture, thus my figuring on what to do, how to do, etc. Guy walked into the house an hour ago and is installing as I type.

Pix will be posted later today.

It's only available in Britain, although Home Depot did sell them for a while. I posted on my local FB page and a guy had one...$25 well spent.

That's a slick Ryobi combo saw!

Only thing left is the floor...and it might just happen today (Wed). I am taking off for a month as of next Tuesday, so...a deadline.
