Mattress Ventilation Underlay

Recently discovered an underlay to provide ventilation under my mattress might be necessary to prevent mold. I will be living in my camper full-time through the seasons.

Curious on thoughts and if anyone has tips for a cheaper option or DIY other than the $120 products on amazon?

Just pick up a section of lattice from a home improvement store and cut to size. Just make sure, it's two layers (some plasitc versions are single layer). You want two layers so air can get past each section.

there are several expensive products made for it. THIS  is what I am going to try myself.  All the DIY options I found were skeptical at best and most would probably colapse after a ton of use.

What about some peg board and cheap 1x2 pine from Home Depot. Two sheets of 4x8 pegboard and 6 strips of pine would be just under $60
