I was going to get a Sleep Number but it has to be ordered, paid for, they install and charge. You can not walk into a sleep number and walk out with a mattress even paying cash. Done deal I walked out and bought a Tempur-Pedic.

Replacing the mattress is a no brainers. The "matress" most have from the factory you're better off sleeping on the plywood under it.
Most RVs have built in bed "frames" that hide mechanical/plumbing utilities not easily moved. If that's not the case for your particular unit you may still have to deal with the cosmetic issues involved with removal and replacement.

If it fits thru the door, go for it. Just rem to account for the extra weight when loading up.
The first thing we did/do when we get home with a new RV is sell or give away the bed and replace with something sleepable.
