TV Antenne as a wifi booster

I live in my 5th wheel trailer full time at my family owned business, and the wifi we have at work is some 300-350 feet away. I'm wondering if there's a way to use to the TV antenna (I use it to watch TV as well), to help boost the wifi signal.

I had a similar problem at a host site and used this "antenna".USB wired WiFi antenna We had a very weak signal at our motor home, but could not connect. I hung this unit on an outside wall with velcro and ran the cord thru the window. The only real drawback it that you have to plug a wire into your computer.

It is really more than a powered antenna. It acts like a separate wifi card, but with much better strength.

Contact the 3Gstore. If anybody can make it happen for you they can.

I use a Craddlepoint MBR1000 router in the 5th wheel with my Verizon aircard and can use my laptop and Ipad close to the distance you are looking at.
The 3Gstore will answer your question and recommend what you need.

Look at Amped Wireless booster router. I still using an older model at home so I can use a laptop in the garage or out on the deck. I think it's great and the newer ones are a lot better.

This is booster that differs from what a lot of RV'ers try to use because to use it, you have to have the password on the main router so that no one else can use it. What you would do, is between you and the wherever the router is located, find the furthest point towards you, install the Amped unit there and then it will boost the signal out to you.

If you have any problems, they have great technical support. I loaned it to a friend to try and of course he had to change the password to what he was using and then forgot what it was........ They took care of the password problem and got me set up again. You can also go to Amazon and read the reviews.

Here's another idea - but someone else will have to chime it as to whether it will really work. Go to you local electronics shop and get them to cut you a 400' piece of CAT 5 or CAT 6 cable, put some ends on it and plug in your computer to the office. I don't know what's between the office and you as far as open driveways or so on, so that may not physically work.

You are probably better off just getting a range extender like this one:

Straightline dual cam hitch
400W Solar with Victron controller
