Vent covers

We are thinking of getting covers for the vents on our RV roof. Then we can leave the vents open during the rain.
Any disadvantages to doing this?

I have them on every trailer I have owned.  part of the sales deal.. it is nice to have them open and not worry about closing them when it rains, or to levve them cracked a bit while driving to pull some heat out. well worth it in my opinion

No real downside.

What's nice is we can travel with the vents open. If they are closed, it's like a hot box when you set up. By keeping them open, it sucks the hot air out continuously, so it's not nearly as hot when you get to your camp.

Like RockyMt, mine doesn't open the lid quite as far. But I don[t see it as much of a detraction. I am much happier with the cover installed.

I have mine covered, works well. The lid does touch the cover but not enough to worry about.
