Thanks for the link. I like mine also when I have some clear sky overhead. Last weekend in a state park in Georgia, lots of canopy = no connection. No one was getting anything no matter what equipment they were using. I bought mine in July 2012. When did you get yours? I ask because I see this verbiage "with DVB technology" listed in the write up and am wondering if perhaps they have made some improvements in the unit.

Also, I wonder if CW has stopped carrying the "1518 carryout" as I tried to find it on the website last weekend and did not see a listing for it.
Still There. This is the unit I have and I couldn't be happier. Went camping last weekend and was sure I wouldn't be able to get a signal because I had to shoot straight through dense tree line but it worked like a charm.

I have used it several times, and have tried to use it several more. As long as there is little to no tree canopy it works fine. I used it in Utah(Bryce Canyon, Escalante NM, and Sedona AZ with great success. I tried it at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon...no dice, just to much tree canopy. I am now looking for a standard definition Direct TV dish to add to my stash as I think (hope being able to "aim" the dish might get results where the "igloo" won't. There was a guy right next to me at the North Rim who had one of the Winegard "suitcase models" essentially a standard type dish in a carrying case. He sat it on top of his TT and after about 20 minutes of fiddling got a signal.
I purchased this some months ago and used it twice and it did work but now won't work at all...Would like to return this to Camping World and purchase the tailgater and new 211 unit at the sale prices...I use a phone app to aim and it's been dead on..but the satellite will not pull in any signal at all. Can CW help?
