16' Alum Boat in a Toyhauler - Can it be done?

Hello all--

Been thinking, researching, and driving myself mad trying to figure out a way to take a boat with me when we go RVing.

Class C/A is just too costly and we lose a vehicle for sight seeing. TT will work but limits me to a 15' boat (using an Eide cartop loader).
TC is just to small for me, wife and two teens.

My current boat is too large to place on a roof rack, so I am thinking of downsizing to a 16' Alum boat if I can.

So, that lead me to think about a TH. Can/will a 16' alum boat fit in a TH?

Has anyone done this? Can it be done?

Am I out of mind thinking this can be done or is it even practical?

I just keep thinking that there has to be other fisherman that want to take a trailer AND a boat camping with family.

NOTE: I will not tow doubles with a 5er.

Approx Boat specs: 17' long....with trailer: 20' (maybe 18' with swing away tongue)
Width of boat 84" On trailer: 84"
Boat weight" 450#
Trailer weight: 400#
overall weight: 1100# (boat, trailer, motor)

Rid yourself of the shell on the truck and you could do this:

Yeah, if it turns out that 14' becomes the max length, I will stick to the boat loader and carry a 15' above my truck's camper shell/cab.

This is the loader:

remove from TH, set aside, park TH, return to boat and launch

I missed the part about the boat trailer. A trailer within a trailer.

Inception.

Turducken. Toyboatler.

A small Class C motor home would give you more room than a truck camper and it would still give you 3500-5000 lbs of towing capacity for a boat.

You roll the boat in on the trailer and tow it to the ramp.

It would need to be an open floor plan style toy hauler or car hauler style with living quarters. You will need to winch it in and out of the hauler.

Your truck will probably not like the pin weight of a toy hauler. Be prepared to spend some money upgrading or replacing it.
