All,

I just purchased a 2007 Keystone Cougar 314efs and discovered the light switches behind the door don't function. I'm going to make the assumption they are for the exterior lights.I have no manuals or service books for this fifth wheel(Know where I can find some) That said the exterior lights don't turn on. Any 314efs owners out there know what the problem might be?

I have the 06 314EFS. Have you solved the light switch problem yet? I still have the paperwork from when mine was purchased and they really don't tell you anything about what switch does what. Let me know if I can help.

Our older FW has wall switches for about half the lights. ALL the lights have their own switches. That caused some confusion once in a while when an overhead light on a wall switch got turned off at the light.

When I converted all the lights to LED, I also bypassed the switches on the lights that are controlled by a wall switch.

May not be your issue, but worth checking.

A few months ago we found that all of our 120v circuits in the kitchen were not working. (2014 Cougar 327 RES)
We finally figured out that the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) in the bathroom had tripped and cut off all electrical power to the kitchen circuits.
Simple reset fixed the problem.
Sometimes the simplest and most obvious are overlooked.
Good luck on your hunt.

I have to laugh cuz we had a similar thing happen at our stick house. Front outside outlet would work one minute then upon plugging in the timer for Christmas lights,, poof nothing. Couldn't figure out what the heck was going on. Called local electric place and said to check for other outlets inside the house that are GFI to see if they tripped as the outside outlet wasn't GFI. Sure enough, our main bathroom's GFI was tripped. re-set and WHOLLA---outside outlet back to life. Ends up that the timer was to blame as it's the type that needs to "charged by turning it's clock a few times before plugging in". This year, bought a new timer.

Could be the disconnect switch is nowhere near the battery. Mine is located in the cabinet above the TV in the living area of the trailer. If the other interior lights work, then it is probably not the disconnect switch.

B.O Thanks for the quick reply.

Battery is in place, I'll look for the battery disconnect switch. Didn't see one but will look harder.

Since I didn't get any paper work with the FW, i'm trying to figure out where everything is. Looks like the previous owner did a couple electrical mods in the battery compartment.

Cheers
Greg

Is the battery in place and charged up? Is the battery disconnect switch turned on? They are 12 volt lights like all ot the others. Might be a fuse or bulb also. Try the easy stuff first..
