3-wheel bicycle carrier

I bought my wife a 3-wheel bike for our RV adventures. I would like to mount it to the bumper of my 5 wheel if possible but I'm open to other options. Has anyone found a bumper carrier for this kind of bike?

I went online to look at these racks. They are very nice BUT very expensive. The rack that carries a trike and one regular bike costs $549 and shipping to me was $57 for a grand total of $607.

There is no way I could afford this rack. I think I will go with the option presented earlier by modifying a cargo rack.

I suggest you use schedule 80 PVC for strength.

Hum? I never though of that. I've got lots of left over PVC pipe, of all sizes. I'll muddle that one over in my head.

THANKS!!!!!!!

The receiver-mount carriers for trikes are startingly expensive.
Our Catrike will fit in the truck bed, with fifth wheel hitch and the trailer connected, if we remove the two front wheels.

This was a temporary quick fix that is ending up being permanent. The basic carrier is just a cargo carrier purchased from Tractor Supply Company. I removed the cage part and built the wood frame for the tires of the tricycle to rest in. I wanted to redo this using aluminum pipes or bars so it would be a bit lighter and easier to handle, but haven't gotten around to doing that yet. Meanwhile, this works well.

Maybe I'll just paint the wood black and call it a day! Why re-invent the wheel when something works?

DutchmenSport just did one for his trailer, ask for a pic.

Hitchrider.com You'll have to add a receiver to your 5th wheel.
Maybe this will give you some ideas for other options?

Bumper bike carriers are easy to find. A double bike carrier would probably fit. Find a bumper that can handle the weight (and the weight bouncing down the road) is difficult. What does your manufacturer say about your bumperโ€™s capacity?
