5th wheel kayack rack

Is anyone aware of a kayack rack that can be mounted on the rear ladder of a 5th wheel. I know that there are receiver hitch racks available but my 5th wheel does not have a hitch. I might go with an inflatable kayack but I have read that some people have had issues with the inflatables losing air pressure. Any feedback wouldbe appreciated.

I have 2 10' kayaks mounted on a front Yakima rack and a rear DIY headache rack. I have two stackers mounted on the racks that keep the kayaks vertical. Works great, no problems turning so far. No way you could do much longer like I have. 10' max IMO.

Hi. Do you think two 12 foot kayaks would fit on roof racks mounted on a 2011 Ford 350 crew cab, 8' bed, while pulling a 5er? My kayaks are 12 and I prefer not to carry the goalpost style bars mounted in a front receiver. I'd like to use Yakima or similar double bars with the saddle brackets.

NO!

By Far the best solution, saw one just last week here in Oregon.

I would NEVER hang anything from the roof ladder, just not designed for the constant pounding.

You can have a heavy duty hitch welded to your fiver frame for around $500. We did this and
use a kayak rack that mounts in the hitch.

Unfortunately I only have a tablet and have not figured out how to post pictures from it. I use the Camco 51490 chair rack (check Amazon) on my second ladder rung. The nose of the kayak sits in that with top of kayak facing the ladder. I then use four bungee cords to secure kayak to ladder.

Hope this helps.

My 12 ft Hobie Outback has ridden in the 5th wheel the past two years. It is the first thing out and the last item loaded. I like it safely stored in there while traveling. Nuisance though when trying to make a sandwich. ๐Ÿ™‚
