Airbag

On my fifth wheel, I found the airline has melted across the exhaust. We've got to leave tomorrow morning. We probably were running on one airbag on our last trip. Now that Ive discovered the flat airbag issue. Do I run with the good airbag full or flat? Thank for your help.

you can cut with a sharp pocket knife and be done with it in minutes.
I would be worried about running one bag inflated and the other flat.

That happened to me and I just went to the auto parts store and bought a new length of hose, and installed it. Mine just used push-to-connect fittings and took about 5 minutes to fix. I believe mine was 3/16" line.

Run and get a compression union and repair, ace hardware, auto parts shop etc

The generator exhaust ? airbags on a fifth wheel ? is it the new lippert Center Point suspension ?

Either way, I would probably deflate the other good bag to match, if you can..

But only for a limited amount of time, not continually , with the internal jounce system .

Its surprising it has not ruined the airbag. Also you must have the separate fill lines coming off the compressor, or they both would be flat. Its no problem to get some more 1/4 inch air lines, and just a few minutes to replace.

IF you don't know how to remove the line, just google it. It's just a matter of pushing the end of fitting in ,and pulling the line out. It doesn't push very far at all.. Of course reroute to avoid the exhaust. Your truck should have a metal shroud in the proximity to protect the airbag, and line on the exhaust side, should have been installed with the airbags, it comes with the airbag kit.

No don't run those airbags without at least 5-10 psi in them.

It depends on the type of air bags. Mine are Airlift w/o the bumper. They say I must have 5# in them to prevent damage! The ones with the internal bumper can be run "flat"
