Arctic Fox 24N-5 tear in fiberglass on rounded roof section

Just got back from doing some boondocking, and noticed that the rear side of the trailer on the passenger side where the roof of the trailer is rounded and sloping downward, there is a puncture the size of a baseball. Must have hit a low hanging branch.

Any recommendations on how to repair? Ideally, I'd also like to "armor" that area as it would seem prime for puncture wounds. Maybe add some rounded aluminum diamond plate across the whole back part of the trailer, to prevent future wounds. Ideas?

Took it to the local RV body shop and they will patch and put a radiused diamond plate across the whole top of the rear of the trailer, so hopefully this will never happen again.

Find some kind of rv outside appliance vent cover to put over it. Seal it well and no one will know the difference. (after patching of course)

You can purchase Eternabond tape in 12 inch wide rolls here. Might be kind of pricy for what you want though. They also sell 6 inch wide rolls much cheaper. I have purchased 4 in rolls from them but that might be a bit too small and the overlap would not fall in the right place.

I think I would use 6 inch to make a temporary fix until you can get to a fiberglass repair place. I am assuming the hole is in the fiberglass part of the rv and not the roof.

I would say if you could find some Eternabond wide enough that would do the trick. I have a roll of it in 4" wide. Depending on the width of the tear might take two-three pieces overlapping. Can always throw some Dicor on there before the eternabond if you want, but don't cover it too much to where the eternabond does not have a good amount to adhere to.
