Always a problem with Nylock nuts. They only can be used so many times, then the nylon starts coming apart and jams the threads. These are mild steel bolts; a 1/2" breaker bar and a cheater will twist them off pretty handily. Keep the old u-bolts as "just in case".

You can get specific answers to your Ford OEM hitch vs B&W specific question from a all Ford website such as powerstrkenation or thedieselstop or other websites that is all Ford trucks/owners with actual experience with both. Check them out.

In a Dodge, but works great. I agree though...had nothing to do with chucking. My rig chucks when the road's just wrong.

Have had the companion in both our '13 ford (had to install the turnover as no factory set-up) and previously in the '02 Ford. Solid hitch, great support. As good as everyone says!

I am a BIG B&W fan but I really don't see how it has anything to do with "CHUCKING".

It has a solid no slop connection.

Never latch the handle open. Only time I have heard of a dropped RV with a B&W is when someone locked the handle open and drove off.

Top quality USA Made hitch. Ask anyone that has gone from a Reese to a B&W. I went from RBW to B&W, amazing difference.

I don't have a Ford but I love the companion hitch in my Dodge. Much better then my old Reese.
