Back up camera on Ford 5'er tailgate

Have a 2014 Ford F250 with the back up camera system on the factory tailgate. Of course when I put my 5th wheel tailgate on, I lose that option. Has anyone found a 5th wheel tailgate with a camera in it, especially one that has the Ford camera plug on it.

I had a Yada wireless back-up add on licence plate camera on the F150. When we got the F450, I mounted the camera to the underside of the frame of the tonneau cover. The sending unit, added a 12v plug. When the tonneau cover is flipped forward and secured, I uncoil the sending unit's cord and run it into the back seat area to plug into power. Carefully close the rear door, keeping the cord out of the latch. I hand hold the view screen when backing up. Makes it an easy one person hitching up .

Check out the Salt Spreader/Camper Camera Kit at Camera-Source.com. It is a wired camera that plugs directly into the tailgate camera plug. I installed one on the back of my truck camper; it should work well attached to an aftermarket tailgate. Quality product and good image. It does not have the centering lines provided by Ford's tailgate camera.

Towed 5th wheels for 20 years and have always used the factory tailgate. Current MS has an extended pin box so with the RV hitched the tailgate down I can still walk between the down tailgate and 5er.

Tailgate stays along with it's backup camera.

I just keep the tailgate up until I get close enough to the pin so I just miss the pin box when lowering the tailgate.

I for one would love to see some pics of this.

I ordered this option on our '14 Ram. Works pretty nice.

I should have said, I'm mechanically enypt (did I spell that right?)As you Ford owner's know, it's pretty simple to take off and put back on the tailgate. That's what I was hoping for the 5'er gate.

The pig tail for the Ford connection looks like, will be the hardest thing to find.

I took the Blue Oval badge with the backup camera out of my oem tailgate and mounted it in my V tailgate, I did this after I destroyed the tailgate on my new truck.

You could just install another OEM badge and camera on your 5er tailgate. That way no question on the plug or compatibility.

I've thought of doing the same thing. I did a websearch and found OEM factory replacements priced from $200-$500 depending on who's selling.

I've got a couple of junk yards who are suppose to call me if they get a wreck in and I can salvage the tailgate emblem/camera.
I haven't been able to find just the camera and pigtail which is what I'd rather have. I could fabricate my own mounting plate under the bumper.
