Battery Charger

New storage spot has access to AC. I would like to hook up trickle charger to keep up batteries. Would one of the 1.5 amp chargers eventually charge up the batteries if the charge was down somewhat? Or would I need a larger charger. I like to go to the storage place and spend time in the TH and I find that running out the slides can drop the charge on the batteries so sometimes need a good charge. Second question is can I use any size extension cord to hook up the charger? Thanks in advance.

FWIW my last trailer had the WFCO converter and it had a built-in charger/maintainer. I traded the trailer in at just over 2 years old and the battery was fine. I only added water once in 2 years so it's doing something right. I do keep the trailer plugged in all the time.

look at something like a battery maintainer, that may be the answer.

I do not use trickle chargers in this day and age.

24 hours @ 1.5 a= 36ah/day. If you know exactly how down the batteries are you can calculate it.

Yes.

Trickle chargers are really just maintenance chargers. So you'd want your battery to be fully charged before you hooked up to a trickle charger.

It may charge up the battery, but why not just get a good battery charger that will actually charge the batteries, and once they are charged, switch to a maintenance charge.

Yes, and extension cord can be used, but get a good one, not a cheap one. 14G wire would be Good.....12G would be Great.
