So I am very close on getting a Torque 325 toyhauler 5ver.

It is the floorplan that fits us best and still is one of the smallest 5th TH I can find.

BUT.....it has 4 D rings bolted into the floor. which is great for a golf cart or other but what about bikes? Or hubbys surf fishing cart? or a small refrig. we will be getting for outside?

How do you secure these items? I am thinking if we get this how does one secure 3 bikes and some other items? there are no rings in the sidewalls.

Newbie on toyhaulers but I asked the salesman how does one secure bikes in this thing and heck if he said he didn't know HUH??? 🙂 yikes

I know you guys have answers for me. thanks

e-track is your friend

We are adding a bike rack to the headache rack of the truck; having them roll around in the garage is getting old. Plus I'm tiring of carrying in and out of the garage 🙂

Our last 5er we had a rack which went into a receiver on the back of the 5er; that was a good option as well.

There are bike racks which mount to the pin box on the front of the trailer also. If you look in the Toy Hauler pictures thread in the last few pages is a picture of member Tgreening's all loaded up. Welcome and have fun!

We use a folding bike stand tied down in the garage then move it outside when we get to our location. I usually have one motorbike on one side and 4 to 5 mountain bikes on the other side.

E-track. I just came across that while checking into accessories/hauling for toyhaulers. THANKS. I will check that out.

I am also thinking of having a few D rings installed on the walls. will have the rv place do it so it is properly done.

Having the RV place perform the work does not mean it will be done properly. The times I have had mine in they seem to try and cut corners.

I use tubs to put the small items in. As an example, we have a Sea Doo that we bring out when we camp at the lake. I put all the related items (life jackets, deflated tube, etc) into one of the big tubs with wheels that I then strap down.

yea thought of that on truck but hubby wants nothing in front of his truck 🙂

I am seeing now how everyone is getting it done. tying down all those smaller items. pack it in and strap it down and away you go

OAK---your fridge isn't tied? just sits against the wall and stays there? that would be nice

We added tie downs as needed to the walls & floor........Just have to make sure that you attach the tie downs to the trailer frame (side walls). The small frig. sits in a corner so it is easy........... Chairs we tie to the rear of the golf car (golf cars rear seat folds flat).......

Good luck / enjoy

You can always put the bicycles outside on a bike rack attached to a hitch on the front of the truck.

E-track is easy to install and has many tie off points.
I have 3 strips on the floor in my hauler for heavy items like motorcycles and grill and such and I have seen it installed on walls to tie lighter things to wall. When not hauling bikes I use them to secure dump tank, floor jack and coolers.
Some recess it on walls and on the floor but on an existing unit that's a little harder to do.

I meant regular bikes. a kayak. surf buggy. smaller loose things that require tie down.

but I finally found a thread where a poster put a pic of his toyhauler and all his toys and how he arranged them. very inventive. he built his own pvc pipe carrier for his kayaks and then tied that down to the D rings and then tied his kids bikes to it.

I just was wondering ways to handle the small items. I know once I have a golf cart in there strapped down I can then work around it and secure items.

Hubby has been thinking of ways to handle the small items. He is coming up with some crazy ways to get the smaller toys strapped.
