Designer 35RLTS and Jayco Talk...Thanks Frank!!

Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

Hi Frank ... I respect your position as the moderator ... However, as a newbie to the rv world, I find comfort in getting the answers to my general questions from other Jayco Designer owners ... there's a sense of security and familiarity chatting with the same folks ... It's kind of like talking with family. I've learned so much from this forum. Just my opinion. Thanks.

This one is becoming temporary. There are so many topics being discussed it is now a general discussion thread. It isn't about 5th wheels any more. The same reason I closed it before.

I can only speak for Michigan...here we have a one-time registration fee of $300 then we get a permanent license plate for as long as we own the Designer...also in regards to our truck my annual registration fees are about $225/year

Today we bought our Silverado 3500 HD, Duramax, Dually to pull our Designer we ordered a few weeks ago. Can someone explain the registration fees required. We live in PA and was told it would cost over $400 / year to register the truck and trailer. Does this sound right to everyone?

OK, we spoke with our salesman this past Wed. Our unit has been done since the 4th and it's awaiting transportation.:(. His estimation is we'll see it at the end of April. TODAY he calls us back, our unit just pulled in, do we want it this weekend??:S Mind you, were in Central VA and this is in Buffalo. I had to grab the DW by the shirt collar to keep her from running out the door. Guess we're on our way to Buffalo next friday, at least the white stuff is gone......it is gone right?? We'll update when we return.

Camping world has some spray on lube and conditioners. Mine seem to stick pretty good after a week or so. They still look dry and chalky. I just got my taller ladder yesterday and plan on doing them at the campsite on this weekends quick outing.

Cruz.... Do you lube your seals? It may help them roll better so it gets the squeegy action going.

Take it to Wal*Mart or other auto place and they will match it up. I think 1158 may be one if it is a bayonet type 12VDC bulb.

I need to pick up some spare light bulbs for the light fixtures above the Lazy Boy chairs, sofa, table, etc. (not the ordinary TV light fixtures you see on the ceiling)...pulled one last night and it has no bulb number on it...anyone know what # the bulb is?

I'm with M GO BLUE, I wouldn't be without the slide-toppers. One night in a pine forest would convince anyone of that I'm sure. There's nothing like picking a couple of thousand pine needles off the tops of the slides when half of them are stuck 1/2 way under the seal. I empathize with you Cruz, many's a time in our 2000 Designer that I had to mop up the water off the slide tops after a wet night.

I do believe the hooks in the nightstand are for keys. I recall our salesman said this.

I hope everyone is doing well in regards to the water heater the electric and the gas work the same. Just flip whichever one you want to use and presto, hot water.

I posted a comment a few pages ago stating that my bedrails came in contact with my 35RLTS and is wasn't pretty. I ordered a new panel from Jayco (that was bent up during the mishap) and it was only $17. So I will be installing it this weekend. I also will be taking it out and will measure the distance between the bedrails to see if I'm ok and it was an issolated situation. Keeping my fingers crossed that getting it out of my property which is uphill and geting it back on level road might be a little scary but will have to keep a close eye on it. So far so good... really enjoying it.
