Direct TV Won’t Work on my 2018 Montana?

So something is not working for me. I am getting a Signal 775 trouble communicating with dish. I have 3 connections in the outside command center. 1 for cable..2 different ones that both say satellite.

First question is which satellite connection to use? Bottom one or the one in the middle? ( I have tried all 3 with no results)

Second I am only trying to get it to work in living room. The wall socket says cable for one connection and satellite for the second. ( I have tried both with no results)

So I ran the cable directly from dish into a window and connected to reciever. Works fine.

So I have a wiring problem somewhere and have no idea what to do next???
I am experienced dealing with satellites tailgating and RVing and know it is something in the new RV. There is no green light button in the living room outlet and I turned the green light off in the bedroom with no results. Thoughts?

Test each cable to insure they are marked correctly.
This can be done with an Ohm meter. Connect meter between center pin and outer metallic area.
I am thinking that they are marked incorrectly.
The satellite cannot have any splitters or other devices. it must run directly to the receiver.
Verify that the satellite does not go to the antenna power supply. If it does some will work with antenna power booster switch off.

What kind of dish? Is this a new problem? We have a portable antenna and the only time we had a problem was using a cable that was too long. Look up your owner’s manual troubleshooting ideas online.

We can’t get the signal through the camper’s connections. We run it through the window. I was tired of trying and this works every time!
Good luck!

I had a similar issues first time I tried to use my satelite on our Jayco. If you have two TVs that are connected to separate receivers, does the other TV receive signal? This will tell you whether the issue is between the splitter in the basement and the receiver or the splitter. You have already ruled out the connection at the dish by running the cable in the window directly to the receiver.

My issue turned out to be the connection of the cable behind the connector plate where you connect the cable from receiver to satellite. The connector in the wall plate was not tightly attached. When the cable was connected from the receiver side, it backed the cable off on the back side of the plate. The result no connection to dish.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Run a coax directly from the dish to the receiver. It is not uncommon for mfgs to put in low grade coax, splitters that do not allow pass thru. BTW, what reveiver? Does it require a SWM setup? Do you have a SWM setup in the trailer? Basically we need way more info to help you.
