GD Solitude

My wife and I are looking at full time RV living in about 6 months or so. We have looked at several different 5th wheels, Montana, Redwood, Tradition, Pinnacle, Rushmore. We have looked at the Grand design Solitude mdl 369RL which we like. Has any Solitude owners had any major problems with these units or warranty issues, or any problems that might make a owner wish they would have bought different make of 5th wheel?

I agree about not having the rear cap.

Then they put a travel trailer bumper back there to. :h

Overall looks good...not sure about the construction though (haven't looked that far).

We have looked at several Solitudes as well (really like the front living room model but it's huge) and overall they look great. One thing we really do not like about them is the fact that they do not have a one piece fibreglass rear cap like most higher end units have, including our almost 10 year old Citation. We think this really takes away from the unit and makes it look cheap and low end on the back of the unit. Does anyone know why they do not put a cap on them? Other than that they look fantastic and we are seriously considering one as well.

This would have probably been our second choice except there was just not a floor plan we were interested in. When I did some checking on the make/model I could not find anything wrong with them.

Based on what I've seen on the Grand Design owners forum, the company goes above and beyond to ensure that any warranty issues are addressed in a correct and timely fashion.

We've had a couple minor problems with our Reflection. We are very happy with the product.

I've had my 369RL for over a year and a half. A few small problems but nothing serious. Over 10,000 miles and totally pleased with it..

I took a long look at the 369 Solitude, looked like really good fit , finish,impressed with the caulking and the neatness overall.would be one of my top choices.

Know nothing about the Solitude. I have the Redwood 38GK and have had no problems with it after the PDI till the last trip when I tried the sat. system and the line to LR is bad. was told it would be a 2 day turn arround when I set up appointment.
