I went with two Honda eu2000's because I can easily lift them on/off the truck by myself and because I only need to carry one if the air conditioner is not going to be needed.

No such consensus that buying two units instead of one is way to go ! I think that's an option, but not the general consensus by any means!

I would say majority of RV'ers who own a "portable" generator setup for camping and use it to power their RV's AC will have either two Yamaha or two Honda inverter generators.

Thank goodness for quiet small generators.

I remember all those times dry camping in our first TT when we had to run the truck to top up the battery.

That was the one thing I didn't enjoy back then.

We have a Honda 3000 handi to me I can't tell the difference in noise compared to a 2000. It runs our AC ect in the fifth wheel and we've used it at an aunts house when they lost power for a week to at least run their fridge freezer and a few lights. I can lift it by myself fairly easy especially compared to the regular 3000 which was a bit much but its definitely not as light as a 2000.

I have owned a Honda 3000, now own a juice box 4000W Onan. Went out yesterday and bought another Honda 3000 for my youngest son who just bought a TT. I forgot just how quiet they are until we started it up. I will get the 2 2000 W Hondas because as my body ages, it rebels about manhandling the juice box which weighs 380 lbs. My brain says I'm 29 but my body really disagrees.....:)

With a name like "honda man" you really have but one choice. Size is the only issue.

Found a used Onan model 7000 (i think that is the model) with only 400 hours. Runs excellant and will run everything on our trailer including. You wont need one that big but nothing wrong with a used Onan and they are quite.

With a name like Honda Man I would think you would want to stick with Honda. They are very good generators but a little pricey. I have 2 2000's. I feel they are very much worth the extra cost.

All depends on how much you want to spend and how quiet you want. Champion 3500/4000 is the low end which people seem to be happy with. It even has a TT30 outlet, so no adapters are needed. On the high end, people get the inverter generators. 2 2000's are easier to handle than one 3000, but the cost is much higher.

3000 iseb Yamaha. It runs our 15,000 unit. It has boosts from battery, and it's extremely quiet ! Get remote start you will love it! I am totally sold on the unit. Runs all well with clean power! Inverter types are the best!
