I'll also be curious to see how they are to walk on barefoot in our southeast August heat. Granted, the awning is usually out, but not if it's too windy.

Got mine installed. Not a big job. Did have one problem with a bent lever on the right side. Looked like they dropped the frame or hit it somehow. They worked but it rubbed on the steps. Applied a little "McGiver" to it reassembled and all is well. I wish the steps were a little wider but I'll get used to them..Very sturdy and well made.

I'm sure you will enjoy them. Can you post installed photos?

Put ours in last year and love them. We added the Camping world step carpets because the dogs didn't like the ribs on the steps. So far the step carpets worked great on a 10 day trip earlier this month.
A point, Glow Step does make a hand rail that replaces the stock rail. Only downside is if you have a slide out on the door side that is too close to the steps the support/steadying pole can't be installed.

*Not* a very astute observation!..:(
If you are young and "spry" you can probably leap in *without* steps!..:C..:C
The stock (original) three work for me......however -
If you are *not* spry due to age or physical condition (semi-handicapped) - anything that helps you get up them steps is xlnt.
(like *quality* 4-step instead of three)
Many of "us" - or our significant others - may have to switch to a MH or TT due to lower entry height/s and no steps to Bed and bath area.
As already noted - a fall is way, WAY more expensive than a new set of entry steps (double duh!) - and can/will ruin your day, month, or RVing future...:S..:S
