We pick up the new one next Saturday! Traded in the 2011 Coachman and bought a new Cougar 327RES. After looking at many, many different models this is what the wife liked the best. Found a awesome deal at Walnut Ridge RV in New Castle Indiana.

Soooooo.... Our Place!

Did you pick up the new camper! Start a new thread and tell us all about it! We're all anxiously awaiting your report. New campers for RV enthusiasts are just as exciting (in my opinion) as Grandmothers waiting for the birth of their grandchildren!

I LOVE it!! Just last week we were desparately trying to remember their names because I wanted so badly to show our older kids what good TV humor is all about. I absolutely loved those guys. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Congrats on the new camper.

We are going to a BIG RV show this weekend at the Mills Mall just outside of ST. Louis with at least 100 campers on display. I hope it will be just a look and not a VERY expensive weekend...if you know what I mean because if I go bigger camper I have to go bigger truck too...and I really don't plan on that for about 4-6 more years (closer to retirement).

I am happy to say that we went to the RV show and did not buy a thing. BUT, we (DW mostly) has some ideas for when we eventually do get a bigger camper in a few years down the road. Of course, we walked thru everything from pop-ups to $350-400K Class A's.
I do know whatever we do get it is going to cost us BIG bucks too. Probably in the neighborhood of $120-150K...60-80K for the camper and another 60-70K for the tow vehicle.

Couple of years ago we went to a show in Raleigh,NC and ended up with a 34 ft Forest River triple slide that we now have to sell due to my health problems. A-Fib, congestive heart failure and now infection in both lower legs. That sucks for real. Hardly got to use our loaded out Classic. Opposing slides in living room with an island counter and a slide out in the bedroom.

Very nice $35K pen. We gave $42K in 2004 to Holiday Rambler for our 5'er and we got matching "HR" windbreaker jackets!!! We felt sooooo vindicated!!!:B Anybody want a pair of never worn "HR" windbreaker jackets???

Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)

Congrat's on the new 5'er. We know several camping couples who've done the same thing. "Oh, we're just gonna go looking". A week later they show up with a new RV. Enjoy!!!:B

Oh my gosh! I just looked up the floor plan for your 327RES. Double slides in the living room with a television along the back window that raise up and down, very similar to my Outback! I KNOW you'll LOVE that camper! Congrats again ... (I may be more excited for you than you are!) Excellent choice!

We was so excited when we bought our first "new" camper (the Coachman) and when we decided to go looking while on vacation, in Elkhart... go figure! We looked at many different brands and models, you know,..just looking and then the wife found this Cougar and fell in love with it. We did some web searching and found the Walnut Ridge had several in stock both 14's and 15's, she picked the 14 model because of the color inside. I happy because it has a "auto-leveling" system! We have a small camping trip coming in a few weeks so we can hardly wait to get it home!!!
