Looking at buying a new 5th wheel around the first of the year. Grand Design has caught my eye. Let me hear from the Grand Design owners about the good and bad. Not interested in other brands right now.

21,000 plus miles and well over 200 nights in a 2014 337rls. Like others, we have had some nagging little things go wrong but I agree, the customer service is top notch. But you have to choose your dealer carefully - very, very carefully. The things that were fixed under warranty were fixed but EVERY time they broke something else while fixing the things. We would get it back and I would have to fix things the dealer broke while they fixed the warranty items. This happened twice that we went in for service...not GD fault as they have stood behind us at every turn.

We have owned four FW in our lifetime of RVing. We now own a 2015 Grand Design Reflection and we couldn't be happier with the quality-and their customer service is the best. In fact the service from Grand Design was a large part of the reason we purchased a Grand Design. We had heard good things about the company and we have not been disappointed. I can honestly say that we have never experienced such a commitment to making sure the customer is happy and supported and not just while under warranty. Two months out of warranty we had a rear stabilizer switch go bad so my DH called GD to find out if we could purchase a new one- not only did they send us one but they paid for two day shipping so we'd have it quickly and then didn't charge us for the switch. A small item for sure but it just speaks to how well they treat their customers.
As to the quality-we have traveled extensively over the 14 months we've had the Reflection and have yet to experience any problem that has kept us from traveling. We had to have a window replaced because it wouldn't slide easily and a wheel bearing seal leaked so GD authorized replacement of all wheel bearing seals. We just returned from 6 weeks in Glacier NP, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and are now packing to head to the Eastern Sierra Mtns. We couldn't be happier to be traveling with our Grand Design!

I was going to buy one the 317 but they don't have auto jacks, so I went with a Primetime Crusader that did but if the chance came up with auto jacks I would probably be a buyer

I've had a GD Momentum 388m since April. I've put about 5000 miles on it and spent about 2 months living in it. In the past I've had a class A and a Forest River 5th wheel.

Overall, I'm very happy with it. I haven't taken it in for any service. I've had a few problems that I was able to fix myself. Some trim came loose, the awning switch was wired backwards, the fuel gauge was wired backwards. The owners forum will give you plenty of help (granddesignowners.com). I haven't used GD support, but all reports are it is very good.

Hope this helps.

We are full-time in our 2016 Reflection 337RLS. The floor plan and weight on the 337 are what sold us. I would have liked a Solitude, but we already had the truck and it's only a 3/4 ton. The Reflection series is well made and there are several details that were must-haves for us: 1) there is no carpet along the edge of the kitchen slide as many other brands have (who wants to cook over carpet?), 2) there is comfortable seating facing the entertainment center, 3) there's an option (which we have) for a 12 cu. ft. refrigerator, and 4) a large pantry. There have been a few little interior finish issues (the typical assembly line things) but I have been able to resolve all of them myself so far. One of the best things about Grand Design is their customer service and (for the most part), dealer network. Our dealer is one of the excellent ones, we think. The is a GD owners' forum that is very active - you might check it out.

Just bought a 29RLS Grand Design Reflections in July so far we love it. The only issue I have had was that the trailer brakes were not working. No other major issue but as I said it is still new.
Cheers
