Went to look at one of their small 5th wheels, an RLS I believe, when my wife went to sit in the U shaped dinette the 6" rear cushions pushed you so far forward your tush was almost off the bottom cushion and your knees were hitting one of the support poles.

I can't imagine anyone from Grand Design ever tried sitting in the booth.

I emailed them about it and never got a response.

They don't build the furniture, Lippert does, meaning you will find the same junky furniture in any brand

When it comes to a dinette typically it's built by the RV manufacturer. Some division of Lippert might supply the cushions but the size of which would be also specified by the RV builder. Personally I hate almost everything Lippert makes, but ultimatley the RV builder is to blame for using their garbage. At a certain brand specific forum the kool aid drinkers use excuses for everything that the manufacturer did not build or supply this or that, it's hilarious. They sure did choose to use the junk however.

A friend has one of Grand Designs large 5ers, a 337 something. I had a chance to see it a few months ago. It's decent for the price. Build quality nothing special but decent. He had issues with axle seals. Lippert Axles but I have heard they now use Dexter, and had an issue with the roof to front cap seam. He is very happy however with the unit, and more so with the support he received from GD getting issues resolved From talking with him he has received much better support than we've ever received from either Forest River or Keystone.

If I was in the market I certainly would look at Grand Design.
Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?

We have a 2018 384 GK we full time and have been living in it 6 months. We have had no problems and have put about 3,000 miles on it. The things I have done was to check tire pressure all we low one was 40# low the rest 15 to 20 lbs. I checked the lug nut torque all were good. Checked the torque on axle u-bolts and all were loose one of the u-bolts were just snug. We are very happy with our 5th wheel. We also got a 2017 GMC Denali CC DRW diesel that pulls like a freight train getting about 9 mpg towing at 65 mph. All in all we are happy with it.
