grey water

Hello all,

Have purchased a 2004 Keystone Montana. The sink keeps stopping up. My grey water valve is open. Shouldn't this water go right out? My black tank needs pumped which makes me wonder if this water is going there instead. That would be against normal plumbing setup, right?

Probably could have had that answer IF you had posted WHICH model of Montana to begin with.....or at least list it in signature

I TT Keystone this morning.
There is not a 3rd valve on this model. They say I simply have a clogged sink and proceed accordingly. Again, just bought and set up the unit so there may have been a problem prior to my discovery. Taking off trap next.

Broken off or missing handle? Check for a hole somewhere where it may have been. First trip out on our current rig the handle rod unscrewed and lost it somewhere on the road.

SO......
You have looked around the driverside tires/under slide out (in front/between/behind) and found no 1 1/2" drain valve?

Maybe handle has fallen off and there is just a valve stem????

One other place......do you have a 'sewer hose storage compartment' ???
On some Keystone models galley drain valve was in there.

BUT on the Montanas---------driverside wheel area

If would HELP if you posted which actual model

'Signature' is great place for that on-going info as lots of questions/answers are easier when Brand/Model are known

Does it have three tanks or two and one of them is not draining well? I am not clear.

Yep, I agree with the tank quantity. check your information panel and see if you have three tanks, then you should have three valves. contact manufacture and get them to help. Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !

You need to find the third tank valve. You may be flooding something

Three tank level monitors Black/grey/galley then 3 drain valves

Galley (kitchen sink) drain valve will be around axles/tires...front/between/behind but in that general vicinity.
And if you have a slide out on that side it makes it tougher to find.

Get down on knees, crawl around and LOOK

My in-laws just bought an 03 Montana. There is a second gray tank the valve is located either between the axles or just in front of the front. I cant remember. You should have a total of 3 handles to open

I think on some trailers the valve is on the 1-1/2" pipe that drains into the 3" pipe. I would have another close look. It sure sounds like there should be another valve.
You may have to have a closer look near the axles.

Why don't you call keystone and give them the VIN number. They can look up the build sheet and specs. It might help

Not sure about the 2004 Montanas, but newer ones (2007 in my case) do have two grey water tanks, one for the shower/vanity and one for the kitchen (galley) plus the black water tank. The pull handle for the kitchen may be in front of the wheels, between the wheels, or behind the wheels depending on the Montana model. That water may come out the same outlet as the shower/vanity/black water drain pipe, or it may have a separate drain pipe at the rear of the trailer. My handle is just in front of the wheels and under the bedroom slide.

The kitchen sink is the one that won't drain and is above/behind the axle. I don't see another valve handle besides the black and grey valves at the opposite end of the camper. I do have 3 water gauges to monitor. Grey, black, and galley readings. But only 2 valve handles that I can find.
