holding tank emptyied shows as 2/3 full

I realize movement helps break everything down. what if u are living in and not mobile? how do u dissolve it? I am using a chemical. I dumped my tank but I don't think it worked sensors says the same as before.

The only time I push the button on my black tank is when I need a good laugh.

the sensors are useless. My solution is when the grey tank is full (water standing in shower) I drain Black tank first then grey ;and then Galley. The hose gets flushed well that way. Anyway it works for me. The Gray tank always first as DW likes long showers.

had mine do this last year......I put a hefty squirt of dawn in there, closed the valve, ran the crapper cleaner for several minutes to fill the tank, opened the valve, and let the cleaner run for 15-20 minutes. It worked....sensors started reading again.

Run lots of water thru - or back-flush.

Not too unusual.

What I have found to help keep the sensors clean is a
combination of Dawn liquid and either Cascade or another
dishwasher liquid that has "sheeting action".

What is happening is the sides of the tank get a coating.
This scum coating creates an electrical path for the
sensors. When you break the path, the sensors work correctly.

The sensors on my old Cedar Creek were inaccurate at best. The only two that worked were the fresh water and battery level. The other two got confused due to matter sticking in the tank. On my MS I have sealant and they have been accurate thus far. I did have a problem with the grey water one. It was a lose wire and was repaired under warranty. If you want to invest the money you can have the sealand monitors installed after market.

Thanks, Ken. Ours came with the SeeLevel system - CRS kicked in and I couldn't remember the vendor name when I posted. As I said, so far, so good with this system!

I like having a toilet that you can look down thru the hole and see what your level is. I will be curious to see how the new sensors work on our MS that's being built now.

If the water starts to back up in the shower - I know that I should have dumped that gray tank, same w/ kitchen sink, I always dump black tank every week. The only time I have gray tanks closed is when in winter camping as I'm doing right now and temps for this weekend (2/15,16/15) is around minus 5 or 6 degrees otherwise in warm temps gray tanks are always open.

I have a 2005 PleasureWay Plateau TS on a Sprinter body
I found by dumping my black water holding tank and then dumping 4 bags of ice cubes in a 12 gal tank and adding at least 3 gal of fresh water to allow the ice to float then continue driving for 20 to 30 miles sometimes braking to cause the ice in the holding tank to move and cause a scrubbing action inside my tank. End result the ice cleaned my tank and sensors and the only thing left to dump is water. Larger holding tanks will require more ice and water. This is a very cheep fix to a sensor problem.

We bought our 5th Wheel used. When we first got it, the Sensors always said that the Tank was full when it was in fact empty. After being on the Road all of last Summer and now in South Texas. I find that after repeated emptying of the Tank while we have been using it, the Sensors have cleared up.

Initially... accurate. 2 years in, like me, un-reliable. :S
So, conserve when we can... visit the dump weekly after
normal check-out hours.

I think a paid for something that is unnecessary. Sure sounded
good at the time.

The SeeLevel ayatem are the only ones that we have had that worked for more than one or tow tanks.
