Hello All! This is my first post on this Forum. I just recently bought a 2008 Heartland. I look forward to the spring when I can take it out and spend time in the mountains. I currently live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. A beautiful place to live if you like the outdoors!

I have a question I hope someone can answer. The floor of the camper is insulated with styrofoam. Inside one of the compartments, I noticed one of the styrofoam sections has fallen down. It looks like it was once adhered to the bottom of the camper floor. What is the recommended glue or adhesive to use to reattach the section? I don't want to use a standard glue that might react with the styrofoam.

Thanks in advance!
Jeff.

Jeff...we used to own a 2008 Bighorn, which was prior to Heartland going to fully laminated/insulated floor systems in 2009. In our rig you could see the aluminum framing under the bedroom floor which had no insulation from the cargo bay....a number of owners of these older units used block styrofoam to insulate the bedroom floor, which is apparently what was done with yours.

Looks like you have a lot of good ideas to re attach the styrofoam block..enjoy your Bighorn!

Lowes (and HD) sell construction adhesive, there are many different types, but one that I recommend is an 'Instant Grab' and compatible with rigid foam board. That way you won't need to hold the board in place while the adhesive sets. And it dries clear. I used it to fully insulate the inside of my steel RV garage.

Homedepot has a special glue for foam insulation. I used it when building a custom refer in our boat. Chris
