Wife and I did something we haven't done in a long time. Went camping over the Labor Day weekend. We went to Branson and met up with 2 other couples. We all had a blast. The drive down, (it's about 230 miles for us) wasn't to bad but we left KC about 10:30 in the morning. The crowds wearn't to bad in and around Branson. The drive home was another matter.
It took us about 4 and 1/2 hours going down and 5 and 1/2 coming back home today!!! Only saw one wreck and it wasn't even on the road we were on. But the police were out in force.
Would we do it again? Yep, will be meeting the same people next year. Only difference is, I will take Tuesday off and use it as my travel home day. Camping is so much fun when you have people you enjoy to share it with. Happy camping, John.
