Ladder on back

As someone said, all trailers need a roof ladder on the back so that you can hang your other ladder on it.

I have an 8ft aluminum folding ladder I want to hang on my trailer roof ladder. How do most folks attach these? I'm thinking some type of hook at the top that just catches over the trailer ladder and then bungies at the bottom. What other ideas, ways is it done?

Also, how many padlock it as well? Not really concerned about the RV parks, but what about few hour stops touring along the way.

Thanks,
Ron

This is what we have used for years. I lock with a chain to bottom of ladder on the TT. Be careful and not cover up your lic plate. I was stopped in Nevada for this

I use the L brackets also, then I use ratchet strap down middle around camper steps and ladder. No problems in several uses.

I also use the Amazon chair/ladder hanger for my 6ft aluminum ladder. I attached the hanger to the rv roof ladder with large zip ties. I attach my extra ladder with two weaved leather belts.

I also use weaved belts to hold and attach other items such as my bicycles, ice chest and extra propane tank. The weaved leather belts allow me to use the belts for any size use, over and over again. I pickup the belts at Army-Navy and Goodwill stores.

What about one of those collapsible ladders that can be stored almost anywhere?

I use two L shaped brackets like you would use in the garage to hold stuff, they are attached to the trailer ladder using 2 stainless steel hose clamps on each, then I hang the ladder on that and bungee cord it down. Be sure to use one that is pulling down on the ladder so it can't bounce off the hooks. I also added some pipe insulation to the trailer ladder to keep it from scuffing.

Never felt the need for a lock.
