LT vs ST sharp turns

Getting ready to put on LTs and am curios how they behave under tight turns on pavement. With the STs the tread will grab and you get a lot of sidewall flex. With the LTs I suspect the sidewalls are not going to flex nearly as much? Does this mean more twisting forces will get transfered to the suspension?

I've got LT's on my triple axle and they've been in some pretty tight, scuffing turns with good results. Your double axle shouldn't be any concern.

Not a valid reason to stick with ST tires.

I think the OP has the right idea. If the tire treads acts the same, there has to be flex somewhere, if the sidewall doesn't flex then the flex will get transferred to the suspension parts. Personally I would rather it worked that way and the tires don't fail prematurely due to weaker sidewalls.

But this is merely my opinion, and worth just what you paid for it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I'll say no difference. Once the ST is through flexing, then it must slide just like the LT. Same forces on axle. Traction of the tire would make the difference.
