Making a patio if no cables

Our new toy hauler does not have the cables to convert the ramp to a patio. For those of you that don't have the cables and want to use the ramp as a patio, how do you do it?

in English please...:h

Find a picnic beach lower your ramp door onto the edge of it.

beach ? I think you meant to say "bench"... LOL

I can be somewhat pedantic at times...:B

Umm I started off with table and ended up at the beach, AKA bench I must of been thinking about surfing! Sometimes I have ostentatiously learned english with three finger typing and no glasses stuff happens!

Thanks for all the replies and help. I was checking today and it seems to have the attachment points on both the ramp and trailer so I ended up ordering the cables through the dealership. A little spendy this way, but should end up with the exact cables and hardware needed for our trailer.

Thanks for the ideas. When working on the couches and happi jac bed today, I noticed that the ramp has the places for the cables. I need to figure out how the cables attach to the trailer and maybe I can rig something up like the factory set up.

Ok, if trailer has places for the cables why not go look at a trailer like/similar to yours with the patio option to see what the mounting hardware looks like so you can make your own, or if a dealer can order the cables and hardware for your trailer, your call.

cables are easy to make, buy the cable/hardware at Home Depot.

+1 in the jack stand idea. That's what we do too.

Back when we had our Raptor I made my own. I looked over a couple other Toy Haulers and figured it was very doable on my own. Worked fine, second owner continued to use them he told me.

With a previous toy hauler, I used a cheap set of jack stands on the corners. They allowed a little adjustment for different terrains.

I used to set them on pieces of plywood so that they wouldn't sink on soft ground, and I also glued some pieces of carpet to the top of them to prevent scratching.

this makes more sense to me than hooking cables to areas not designed for this force.

If I was/wanted to do this, I would be to make my own cables, problem with this is making sure that the hardware and attachment points are strong enough for the job, and to hold the weight that could be on ramp door/patio.
