Do you live in Gettysburg PA? May I ask where you purchased from? I've been looking for any dealers within a few hundred miles and could not locate one. I'm in NJ.

My only gripe with Arctic Fox (Northwoods Manufacturing) is their dealer network is thin east of the Rockies. We lived in Michigan before going fulltime and had to buy from a dealer in Minnesota. We owned an AF truck camper before our fiver and loved it. Dealer in Grand Rapids only stocked the truck camper line but no trailers. Didnt want to order sight unseen hence the trip to MN. Fortunately these are pretty bullet proof so no need yet to go back to the dealer and I do most of my own maintenance anyay.

We drive past the exit every year in La Grande Oregon where the Artic trailers are made. If we didn't want to get south so fast it would be great to stop and visit their factory.

Here's one for you. Most miles I've heard of...
A couple pulls in beside us with an older Arctic Fox. Got talking with the guy and he said they over 180,000 miles! I thought... YA, right. His wife saw me give a sign of disbelieve and brought out her "trailer diary" that had every place they've been with trailer by date and miles. Miles do add up when you visit your kids, one in VA and another in South Carolina and visit them twice a year and you life on west coast. Can't remember the year model but our 29 1/2 foot (25W 2012 year model) was couple hundred pounds lighter in sticker weight than their 26 foot. More plastic in mine I guess and makes it lighter, I assume?

The only problem was a little spot below tail light that had some delamination. And a dealer did a lousy job...that caused the problem.

Also on third set axles, second hitch couple, 2nd or 3rd skylight, multiple sets tires (and they had 15 inch ST tires) and a tire blow out also took out propane pipe and wheel liner. Nice looking trailer for the age. I think late 80 or early 90's?

Congrats! We bought our current travel trailer used from a Northwood dealer, and every time I go there I drool over the Arctic Fox fivers. We hope to upgrade in a few years when we retire, and an AF 29-5k is at the top of our list! Enjoy!

I think you will be happy. Me and my wife own a 2016 35-5z and only had a couple of issues. The Microwave oven needed replaced and Dave Man made it happen fast. The only other issue is the six point electric leveling system, we have never been able to get it to work correctly except for one time. It is a tank and we love it. There is only a few things I wish was different. The satellite connection for the outside and bedroom. In order to receive a signal you have to disconnect the living room receiver and run a jumper from the main line to the bedroom. There should be three jacks to feed them. The ability to mount the TV in the bedroom. You and family will enjoy your fifth wheel

Congrats...You'll be happy; 99% sure...If you haven't already, sign up for the northwoods forum to see what their weak points are. Very few problems, but there are some things to check. I think the forum gets $10.00 a year. While no longer a member (many reasons) lots of info for first time NW buyer.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
