New Truck to Pull a Landmark??

I have been pulling our 2013 Landmark with our 2005 6.0 Ford and thinking about getting a new truck. Thinking about a Dodge or maybe another Ford F450. Thoughts or ideas??

You can expect big changes.... I went from a 05 6.0PSD to a 6.7PSD and was amazed.

Also if going with the King of trucks the F450 King Ranch I would highly recommend going with the chrome package to get a chrome bumper over the painted bumpers.

At 50 I love doing my own oil changes :B Can't say I would feel the same with cummins98V crazy oil change process on his cummins. I'd probably take it to the dealer for oil changes to were they will cross thread your drain plug. :S

I did mine up until about 2 years ago. By the time I buy 12 qts of Rotella and an OEM filter, then get out the 5 gal bucket and a piece of ply to protect my brand new driveway, then have to take the oil to be recycled and spend 2-3 washings to get the stink off my hands, I can pay about $35 more to have someone else do it. Priceless IMO.

And thats not even accounting for the times when it's raining or damp and 40* here in the PNW. Nothing worse than needing the oil changed in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb here in Oregon.

Well maybe somewhere like North Dakota. ha

When I look down at my CTD I can see the ground. Can you?


After 5 years and 125k miles and not a single repair on my PSD.... And being able to view the ground is a selling point...Yeah OK

Go change the oil on a 2016 CTD and give us a full report!



Actually it's a very easy job. Look at my post on the TDR "EASY! 2013 up oil change.

Oh and Ford has good tow mirrors. Kinda ugly IMHO but work well from many reports.

The new ford 6.7 has a nice and easy to get at oil filter and fuel filter is pretty simple as well.
