Bought a Jayco Eagle 339FLQS front living room with 4 slides. I'm pretty geeked.

Anyone keep a generator mounted in bed of their truck?
Got 8 ft bed want a tool box in the bed and am wondering about a generator....mounted to be theft proof??????

Congrats on the new RV, enjoy. You'll get the generator placement worked out in the way that is best for you.
Time to camp.

I have a EF2800I mounted in the bed of my truck secured to a large heavy tool box which itself is secured to a piece of 2X10 spanning the width of the truck bed and has another box attached to support a propane cylinder.
While nothing is steal proof it is possible to make it hard and noisy to try and steal it from the bed.
I also have a tonneau cover for out of sight out of mind as much of the time as possible.

I've been considering trading my Eagle 31.5 RLDS on the same model. I like the looks of it but haven't went to look at them yet. I expect I know what will happen if I do.

Got to agree.

I have a Yamaha 3000ISEB "mounted" behind the cab of my pickup. Have some heavy security on it, but if someone wants it, that is what insurance is for. Good news, 3 summers and it is still there. Helps to have a bed cover. Out of sight, out of mind.

BTW, congrats on the new trailer.

+1, I agree whole heartedly. You can make things difficult for a thief; but if the thief wants something bad enough, it will be gone.
