Propane Supply to Reefer in Slide

We have a Lifestyle 37RESL and are having problems, among other things, with the Norcold reefer remaining lit when traveling. At first I thought it was the reefer but believe I have located the problem. The reefer is located in the slide and when the slide is retracted the hose is pinched where it exits the interior of the rig enroute to the scissor arm holding the wiring and propane line. I have tested my theory not only by a visual inspection but by turning stove on and retracting the slide. The flame slowly reduces and extinguishes as the slide retracts
The propane hose where it wraps around the scissor is wrapped with a protective wire shield but on my rig the hose exiting the rig interior is not. I believe it should have some protection. For those of you who have a full wall slide, or any make where the reefer, stove, or water heater are located in the slide, does your propane hose have any protection where it exits the interior of the rig?

Thanx,
Chuck

I had a similar problem. No only was the hose kinked, but it was being chaffed by the movement of the swing arm. I relocated the mounting points of the hose so that they were further from the pivot point of the swing arm. This made a larger bend in the hose so that it wouldn't pinch off the gas. I also protected the hose by rapping plastic automotive split conduit around it. I've added pictures to better illustrate may repair.

Sorry I did not. But I just looked at it and I can tell you I am NOT a happy camper. The rubber hose runs inside in the space under the floor to where the steel pipe meets.(I think as I can not see that point) You can follow the pipe on the outside to see where it goes into the rv.

A rubber hose in an enclosed space!!?? No clamps no protective cover!!

I think the only way to get there is to remove the black panel that the hose runs through.(with no sealant) I will be asking some questions about how this can be safe/legal.

PS the line that runs to the fridge up through the wall is a rubber hose also.

There isn't a dealer near me that I would like to do the work. The factory sent me a hose that's about 6 feet long. Did you happen to see how your dealer accessed the interior fitting for the hose? I'm getting ready to change mine out but haven't quite figured how.

I had this problem. Dealer did everything in the world except look at hose with slide in. I crawled under and was easy to see problem. I think they sent me a longer hose and I installed. Its been awhile. I figure during construction someone grabed the wrong hose. I made sure it could not be pinched or rub a hole.

I'd contact your dealer to see if there are any other reports. My last trailer had an issue with the supply to the stove in the slide. It was enough to generate an NTSB recall. My current unit had the reefer in the slide, but the hose is in a real heavy duty flexible conduit that keeps the hose from pinching.
