Protrusion in fiberglass siding where frame runs

In several places on my 5er you can see where the fiberglass protrudes out slightly where the frame runs behind it. In most places you can only see it in the right light, but others are more noticeable and you can even feel it by running your hand over it in the area. My first question is what causes is? And is this fairly common or something to be concerned about over time?

Thanks yes, its aluminum framed. I'll just have to learn to ignore it.

It's common and nothing to worry about.

IMO it's pretty much normal. Not all do it but when it happens it is what it is. Think about it. You have 2" aluminum studs, with Styrofoam in between and 1 or 2 layers of luan under a thin fiberglass layer for finish. Any bump from the stud welds or misalignment of studs will cause a protrusion of all materials that follow. Then take into account that the aluminum framing needs to be flush to the 5ers frame and you can see that there's definitely room for error. Both my aluminum framed TT and 5er had/have some bumps.
