Purchasing a Silverback by Cedar Creek

We purchased a Silverback and brought it home Sat. November 15 2014. I had shopped for about 2 months, learned a lot here on the site, and read as much as I could about this Cedar Creek company and how they build a 5th wheel. We shopped at other RV places and just could not find the quality in a 5th and the knowledge that the sales people have at Camping World in Mesa. I also continued to bother a salesman named Rick Peterson at Camping World in Mesa, Az. He was terrific in understanding my concerns and very helpful. I want to let you all know that we had a wonderful experience with this store and no hassles with any part of this deal. The price was very fair and their concern that we purchased the correct 5th for our family's needs was great. I will continue to shop at this store. Happy shopping.:):)

Congratulations on your new Silverback! We got a new Cedar Creek 36CKTS in July. A couple of the changes from our old 2011 Cedar Creek and the new 2015 were that they're using 4 entry-steps instead of 3 into the coach, installed a hand rail going up to the bedroom, and the steps were uncarpeted and not as tall.

Thanks for the info about your 2015 CC! Good improvements! Let me know when you get ready to trade again! We might be interested!!

Some times CW gets a bad rap. It's not the sign on the building its the people inside. Glad you got good people

Congrats! We don't have a Cedar Creek but we did look at a 2005 this summer. The main thing I didn't like was the steps to the bedroom were so tall. Are the newer models different? I do like them overall.

Just to add to the Creekers that have commented "welcome to the Creekers club", yes there is Cedar Creek RV Owners Club. I can tell you that as a 3 time Creek owner, very happy with service from the factory. I just picked up my rig from the factory the 4th of November following a major incident on I-80/90 coming home from the FROG rally. Service was outstanding. Am I a bit biased, maybe, but from some of the other stories I've seen posted here, Cedar Creek is at the top of the heap. And my friends from coast to coast in the Cedar Creek RV Owners Club will verify that with me.

X3 on the Welcome to the "Creeker" Club. We love our 2009 Silverback - very minimal issues. The CC customer service folks are great!

We have a Cedar Creek, 2011, and really like it. The Forest River Co. is very nice to work with . . . We checked out the Silverback at the factory, and it is built the same as the Cedar Creek. However the Silverback is a little cheaper than the Cedar Creek.

We have a 2004 Cedar Creek Silverback 29lrbs and we just love it. We have made trips to Colorado and many stays along the gulf shores of MS and AL. Your right with the quality. We only had one issue with the miles we have put on it and that was the slide door going into the upper deck. On our trip to CO, driving along the "smooth" interstate freeways, the door broke the back panel and came off the track. It was a challenge to get back on the rack, but once I got it on track, I put some dowel rods in the door to keep it position and all is well now. The rest of 5er has been great. Know you will have many years of camping fun.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Az so no I did not check out any places outside of the AZ valley of the sun.
We are retiring this May and hope to begin travelling the west and the National Parks and then move to the east coast and cover all that we want.....Very exciting..

I'm very satisfied with my 2013 29RE, and the only thing I've replaced was the tires that came on it with Bridgestone R250's.
