Need to replace brakes on my 5er, it has Lippert axles, drums are 12". Can I just replace the brake shoes or do I replace the entire backing plate, brakes, magnet all of it. Where do I go for parts?
Thanks

Etrailer.com has everything you need. It's best and easiest to change the entire brake assembly.

The magnets wear down too and don't last through two sets of shoes.
I agree with the PP, I'd replace the backing plates as an assembly.
FWIW, I am very pleased with the automatic forward adjsuting units on my trailer.

If it were me and I was NOT able to upgrade to the electric/hydraulic disc system, I would take the 4 bolts off and replace the entire backing plate... Just make sure you get 2 left and 2 right
